Use personal protective equipment during all work on the pump.

Allow the pump to cool prior to work, if possible.

Ensure that the pump is pressure-free.
–
Empty the pump, flush if necessary and safely contain pumped
media and dispose of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Before removing the pump, always ensure that the pump has been taken out
of operation properly (
Chapter 6.4 ‘Putting out of operation’ on page 58
7.4.1 Remove pump

Clean up walkways if contaminated with leaked materials.
NOTICE!
Property damage due to improper transportation!

Do not lift the pump by its bearing case or gear case.

Ensure that the pump unit is not overly tensioned when it is
lifted.

Ensure that the lifting tackle cannot damage pipelines or units
when lifting, possibly use a lifting frame (
dimensional draw-
ings, operating instructions for pump system).
–
Make personal safety equipment available.
–
Observe statutory or other safety and accident prevention regu-
lations.

Pump switched off and safeguarded against being switched on again.
n
Pump pressure-free.
n
Pump completely emptied and rinsed.
n
Pump disconnected from the electrical system.
n
Inlet and outlet-side valves shut and safeguarded against unintentional
opening.
n
Pump cooled.
n
Coupling guard dismantled.
n
For coupling with spacer: Remove spacer.
Remove the pump from the system.
