UltraGard Wiring
1.
Connect the wires from the speaker to the two left
screws and the wires from the single piezo to the
two right screws.
2.
Make wiring connections between one speaker
and piezo and the panel as shown in Figure 5.

If two speakers and piezos are installed, make wiring
connections to the panel as shown in Figure 6.

WARNING: A maximum of two speakers is allowed.
Wire multiple speakers in series only, as
shown. Wiring more than two speakers or
multiple speakers in parallel can result in
permanent damage to the panel.
Testing
This section describes the basic steps for testing siren
operation. For complete testing information, refer to
the specific panel’s installation instructions.
To test siren operation:
1.
Contact the central monitoring station and inform
them that you will be testing the system and they
are not to dispatch any authorities.
2.
Arm the system and listen for status beeps and
voice status message, indicating successful arm-
ing.
3.
Trip an instant perimeter sensor. You should hear
a loud, slow on-off-on-off sound and a voice mes-
sage such as “Intrusion! Intrusion! Sensor NN.”
4.
Disarm the system.
5.
Activate a fire alarm by pressing and holding the
test button on a smoke sensor, or press and hold
the fire panic button on the panel or touchpad.
You should hear a loud, steady sound and a voice
message such as “Fire! Fire! Sensor NN.”
6.
Disarm the system.
7.
Activate an auxiliary alarm by pressing and hold-
ing the auxiliary panic button on the panel or
touchpad. You should hear a fast on-off-on-off
sound and the voice message “Help! Help! Sensor
eight two.”
8.
Disarm the system.
9.
Contact the central monitoring station and inform
them that you are done testing the system.
