Oil pipe and oil strainer

1.

Install the oil pipe from the oil pump assembly to
the cylinder block and tighten the sleeve nuts.

2.

Install the oil strainer to the oil pump, and then
tighten the bracket of the strainer to the No. 2 bear-
ing cap.

N·m (kgf·m/ft. lb)

Crank pulley

Lubricate the lip of the front, seal with oil

Install the crank pulley, lock the crankshaft and tighten
the front bolt.

N·m (kgf·m/ft. lb)

1.

Apply sealant to the oil pan.

2.

Install the oil pan to the cylinder block and tighten
fixing bolts evenly.

N·m (kgf·m/ft. lb)

Tightening torque

8 - 12 (0.8 – 1.2 / 6 – 9)

Tappet and head gasket

1.

Install the tappet to the cylinder block.

2.

When installing the head gasket, face up the “UP”
mark.

Install the head gasket over the cylinder head locat-
ing dowels.
