PTO Operating Controls (Hydrostatic Transmission)
FIG. 5-24: PTO and mid PTO are both controlled by PTO
control switch, 1. Rear and mid PTO systems can be
operated independently of each other.
To select rear PTO – Fig. 5-25: Make sure PTO control
switch is OFF and then move rear PTO selector lever, 2,
rearward to “540rpm” position or forward to “1000rpm”
position to engage gear set inside rear housing.
To select mid PTO – Fig. 5-26: Make sure PTO control
switch is OFF and then move mid PTO selector lever, 3,
upward to engage gear set inside rear housing.
To engage PTO – Push PTO control switch, 1, and then
rotate clockwise to actuate hydraulic clutch and complete
the drive.
To disengage PTO – Push PTO control switch, 1, to
release hydraulic clutch.
NOTE: Push knob in and then rotate switch clockwise to
prevent switch damage. Do not force PTO switch
to ON position.
Reduce engine rpm prior to engaging (switching
on) and disengaging (switching off) PTO.
Always move PTO control switch to OFF before
shifting rear and mid PTO selector levers.
