a. Remove the drain plug and let the transmission oil

drain out. (Refer to page, 48)

b. Draw the suction filter out of the filter case.

c. Wash the suction filter in fresh cleansing oil.

Important:
The inside of the removed pipe should also be
cleaned.

d. Install the cleaned suction filter into the filter

case, taking care not to deform the O-ring.

Important:

• If a suction filter is found damaged durin wash-

ing, it should be replaced whit a new one

22. INSPECTION AND CLEANING OF AIR-
INTAKE OPENINGS

Important:

• Air- Intake openings clogged with dust or dirt

causes overheating of the engine due to deterio-
rated cooling efficiency of the radiator. The radia-
tor and radiator screen should be checked for
clogging everyday before operation.

• When mowing dead grass or operating under

extremely dusty conditions, check the air-in-take
openings several times a day to avoid clogging.

under the steering wheel.
Dust them using a piece of cloth or the like.

b. Upper screen in the engine hood

Open the engine hood and remove the upper net
by unscrewing the wing bolts. Dust the net using
a piece of cloth or the like.
