Whilst the USB standard allows for only limited length cables, it is
possible to buy a USB extension cable up to 5m long. The USB menu
option allows you to leave a USB lead permanently connected to your
security light as the unit will behave the same way each time you connect
your computer. If set to MSDC you can access your recordings without
having to recover the SD card. If set to PC Camera you can use the security

supply) your security light will continue to operate in either mode.
When mains power is connected and your security light is operating as a PC

independently, turning on when movement is detected. In this mode,
the light level at which the floodlight comes on is determined by the LUX
setting.
Should power fail whilst your security light is connected to a PC, the unit
will continue to work as a PC camera or removable disc drive, but the
