Upgrade Options

All Fir instruments have the ability to be upgraded in the field to the other variants within the
Fir range with additional and advanced features. This change can simply be achieved by
contacting Ion Science for a quote and placing an order. We will supply you with a unique security key
code for your specific instrument which can be downloaded to the instrument via the Ion PC software
to make the change:
It is also possible to upgrade any P instrument to a Fir instrument to incorporate
the multigas sensors for O2, H2S, CO and LEL gas detection for the ultimate in gas detection. This
upgrade will require the return of the instrument to Ion Science or an Ion Science approved Service
Centre. Please do not hesitate to contact Ion Science if you require any more information or would like
a quote.
Upgrade summary:-
* Both P and Fir instrument have the ability to upgrade within their own family
ranges via a simple password available from Ion Science Ltd.
* Both P and the old FirstCheck range (non plus) can also be upgraded to
Fir but only if returned to Ion Science Ltd or an approved Service Centre.
