You can switch off the microscope by clicking the
Power Icon
. The microscope takes about 10
seconds to shut down and for the blue light to go out.
Many of the controls can be used via keyboard shortcuts instead of clicking the icon:

turn the scale grid on and off

show or hide the controls

and

adjust the fine focus in large steps

and

adjust the fine focus in small steps

When you click the
Save Image Icon
the microscope takes a full resolution still image (5MP =
2592 x 1944 pixels) and you see the image in the screen below:
To save the still image to your computer, click the
Download Image Icon
