3.8 SDI Video Outputs
All DVR Express Core 2 MAX models are equipped with 4 low latency SDI outputs. Settings for each
output port can be independently controlled through software using CoreView or with the optional
handheld remote (see section 3.9 ). Each port can be enabled or disabled. When enabled, the SDI
output port's status LED will be green. When disabled, the SDI output port's status LED will be red.
Black frames are output from a disabled SDI output port.
3.8.1 Output Formats
The CORE2CLMAX and CORE2CXMAX support different output formats and rates. See Table 10 for the
supported formats.
Note: The CORE2SDIMAX does not currently support format conversions. The
output format will match the input format even if it is not listed in Table 10.

3.8.2 Scaling Modes
The CORE2CLMAX and CORE2CXMAX support several SDI output scaling modes. See Table 11 below
for the supported scaling modes.
Scaling Mode
1
Description
100%
The full resolution of the input image is used. A crop the size of the selected video format frame size is output
from the original image. If the selected video format frame size is smaller than the input image, virtual panning
throughout the input image frame size will be possible. If the selected video format frame size is equal to or larger
than the input image, black bars will surround the input image and panning will not be possible.
50%
A re-sized version of the input image is used. It is decreased 50% in the vertical and horizontal dimension through
linear interpolation (Bayer data accounted for). A crop the size of the selected video format frame size is output
from the re-sized image. If the selected video format frame size is smaller than the re-sized input image, virtual
panning throughout the re-sized input image frame size will be possible. If the selected video format frame size is
equal to or larger than the re-sized input image, black bars will surround the re-sized input image and panning will
not be possible.
