Overview
For applications that require speed control via pushbuttons, but do not require a dedicated start button, Optidrive E2 provides a
mode of operation where the drive will automatically start as soon as the hardware enable (run switch) is closed.
Additionally, the user can determine whether the drive restarts from 0Hz or from the previous operational speed by setting one
of the drive parameters.
This document describes how to use the drive digital inputs to carry out remote keypad speed control with Auto-run.

Procedure
For unidirectional operation
Connect the system as showed above, leaving terminal pin 6 disconnected.
Set P-12 = 1. Set P-15 = 0 (see digital input selection options in table 5.6 of the User guide).
Set P-31 = 2 if the drive should always restart form 0Hz (or minimum speed limit if P-02 > 0). Set P-31 = 3 if the drive
should restart from the speed at which it was last running prior to the last STOP.
Close the START/STOP switch to start the drive or open the switch to stop the drive.
Once the drive is running, press the UP button to increase the speed or press the DOWN button to reduce the speed.
