Court-Side Glides™
2 Safety
2.1 General Guidelines
WARNING!
–
DO NOT use this product or any available optional
equipment without first completely reading and
understanding these instructions and any additional
instructional material such as owner’s manuals, service
manuals or instruction sheets supplied with this
product or optional equipment. If you are unable to
understand the warnings, cautions or instructions,
contact a healthcare professional, dealer or technical
personnel before attempting to use this equipment -
otherwise, injury or damage may occur.

Court-Side Glides are to be used ONLY on Invacare
Walkers that are equipped with 3 inch or 5 inch fixed
wheeled front leg extensions.
–
Court-Side Glides are not for use on Rollites™ or
Walkers with 3 inch or 5 inch swivel casters.
WARNING!
STABILITY
–
Check to make sure that rubber tips and/or tennis
balls are not ripped, worn or missing. Replace them
before using the walker.
–
Court-Side Glides are used on rear legs only and
should be positioned toward the interior of the walker.
–
Extra caution should be taken when using Court-Side
Glides as they are not intended to grip the floor.
–
All four legs must be placed on the floor for stability
and support. Short steps should be taken to ensure
that weight is directly over the walker.
–
After installation and before use, make sure that the
walker and accessories are properly and securely
locked in place and hardware is tight.
WARNING!
ACCESSORIES
–
Invacare products are specifically designed and
manufactured for use in conjunction with Invacare
accessories. Accessories designed by other
manufacturers have not been tested by Invacare and
are not recommended for use with Invacare products.
3 Usage
3.1 Installing the Court-Side Glides (CSG)
WARNING!
–
Make sure all snap buttons fully protrude through
adjustment holes of each leg extension and are securely
locked in place.
–
Make sure tennis ball is secure inside housing and will
not fall out.
1.
Press the snap buttons
A
on the rear legs to remove the two
existing rear leg extensions. Keep for future use.
2.
Press the snap buttons and install the CSG leg extensions
B
onto
the rear legs.
3.
Adjust the CSG leg extensions to one of the adjustment holes.
Refer to 3.2 Height Adjustment, page 2 .

WARNING!

The leg extensions should be adjusted so the walker
is level. If an even height cannot be achieved, adjust
the leg extensions so that the rear of the walker is no
more than one inch lower than the front.
Press the snap button and adjust CSG leg extensions to proper height
adjustment hole.
Different hole positions may be used on front and rear leg
extensions to level the walker. Make sure all four legs are in
contact with the floor.
If the rear of the walker is 1 inch lower than the front of the
walker, less pressure is required to engage the rubber tip.
3.3 Rotating/Replacing Tennis Ball
The degree of free rotation depends on the pressure applied
to the rear legs of the walker and on the surface the tennis
ball contacts.
Perform one of the following:
•
If the tennis ball

is worn, rotate it in the housing
D
so that the
desired surface of the ball contacts the ground when in use.
•
Replace the tennis ball:
1.
Push the tennis ball out of the housing .
2.
Press a new tennis ball into the housing.
3.4 Installing/Removing Locking Clip
1.
Remove tennis ball from housing

2.
Lift up the loose side of the metal clip

WARNING!

DO NOT force the metal clip as it may result in
injury or damage to the CSG leg extension
3.
Perform one of the following:
•
To Install:
Slide new locking clip

through top opening
in housing and onto the metal clip. Position the clip to the
center of the housing.
•
To Remove:
Slide locking clip out from underneath metal
clip and out top opening in the housing.
4.
Press the metal clip into original position and replace tennis ball.
Refer to 3.3 Rotating/Replacing Tennis Ball, page 2
5.
Repeat steps 1-4 on remaining rear leg extension as necessary.
