3 Product Overview
3.1 Intended Use
The shower- and toilet chair is intended as an aid for
showering or bathing, going to the toilet, for use during
personal hygiene (e.g. in front of the basin) or for
transferring patients.
The intended user is the person sitting in the shower- and
toilet chair or an assistant.
The product is intended for institutional use or private
house hold use.
The product is intended to be used indoors.
As a toilet chair, the product can be used over a standard
toilet or independently with the toilet pan (optional).
Temperature for use: 10 - 65 °C
Indications
Disabled persons (adolescents or adults) having a physical
size equal to or more than 146 cm, a weight equal to or
more than 40 kg and a body mass index (BMI) equal to
or more than 16, who have:
• difficulty standing or keeping their balance
• weak legs or lower limb disability
• medical conditions that impair their balance
The maximum user weight is stated in the Technical Data
section.
Contraindications
A seat tilt is not intended for users who are sensitive for
increased blood pressure in the upper part of the body.
3.2 Product Description
Aquatec Ocean VIP Ergo and Aquatec Ocean Dual VIP Ergo
are mobile shower- and toilet chairs with tilt function,
stainless steel frame, individually adjustable seat height,
tension adjustable backrest, flip up armrests, foldable
angle-adjustable textured foot plates and a seat tilt
function, designed for people with disabilities that restrict
showering/toilet use.
