Problems While Scanning Bar Codes (continued)
Problem Solution
You scan a valid bar code label to enter
data for your application. The data
decoded by the scan module does not
match the data encoded in the bar code
label.
The CK1 may have decoded the bar code label in a
symbology other than the label’s actual symbology. Try
scanning the bar code label again. Make sure you scan the
entire label.
To operate the CK1 quickly and efficiently, you should
enable only the bar code symbologies that you are going to
scan. If you enable multiple symbologies, the CK1 may on
rare occasions decode a bar code according to the wrong
symbology and produce erroneous results.
Problems After Upgrading
If your CK1 is not operating correctly after you upgraded the
firmware, the configuration file from the old firmware may be
interfering with the configuration for the new firmware. You
need to erase partition 4 on the CK1.
To erase partition 4

Connect the serial dock (P/N 073665) to the PC COM port.

Place the CK1 in the serial dock, and turn it off.
3 On the PC, double-click the executable file dnw.exe. The
DNW application window appears.
4 Choose Configuration > Options . The UART/USB Options
dialog box appears.

Under Baud Rate , choose 115200 .

Under COM Port , choose the COM port that the CK1 is
connected to.
7 Click OK to set up the options you chose. The DNW
application window appears.

Choose Serial Port > Connect .

On the CK1, press and hold 5 , and turn on the CK1.
