Chapter 5 — Managing the CK1 

CK1 Handheld Computer User’s Manual

Loading Firmware 

You need the following items to load firmware: 

•  CK1 connected to a COM port on a PC 

•  The image file of the firmware that you downloaded from 

www.intermec.com 

•  The dnw.exe application. You can download this application 

from http://www.samsung.com/Products/Semiconductor/ 
SystemLSI/MobileSolutions/MobileASSP/MobileComputing
/S3C44B0X/dnw_rev049.zip. 

This section explains how to: 

Connect the dnw.exe application to the CK1. 

Upgrade the firmware by loading:  

• Flash writer 

•  NOR flash  

•  NAND flash  

To connect to the CK1 

Connect a serial dock to your PC COM port. For help, see 
the 

CK1 Serial Dock Quick Start Guide

 (P/N 073772). 

On a PC, double-click the executable file dnw.exe. The 
DNW application window appears.
