Running Individual Tests

In order to run an individual test the login level must be Technician or Developer.

Change the PENNRDR.INI or PittRdr.ini file’s Login field to one of these if nec-

essary or enter the password

T

 or

D

at the login window, which appears when the

test program is first loaded. To run an individual test simply double click on the

test (in the test status window) that you want to run. You may also highlight the

test and click on the Run Test button of the main test screen.
To run an individual test multiple times in succession, highlight the test that you

want to run and click on the Loop Test button of the main test screen.

7.02

Help Screens

To select help on any of the tests in the test status window simply place the cursor

over the test and press the mouse’s right button (right click).  There is also a main

help screen available by selecting the Options button of the main test screen fol-

lowed by the Main Help button.

7.03

Options Menu

Fixture Control
This allows you to manually control and monitor many of the functions of the test

station.  Use this if you are a technician who is familiar with the functions of the

Penn Reader or Pitt Reader.
Test Results
This displays all of the readings taken in the last test that was run.  It also shows

the Min and Max test limits for each reading.
Edit/Display System Files
This allows you to choose one of the important system files of the test program

(such as the INI files) and open them for editting with the Notepad program.

WARNING!!

DO NOT CHANGE THE RFCONFIG.TXT FILE!

PCB Drawing
If you have the appropriate Mentor Graphics CAD file on your system then this

option allows you to display the assembly drawing of one of the Penn Reader

boards.  Note that the DSP and 915MHz boards were designed outside of the

Mentor Graphics system so they cannot be shown here.
Main Help
Displays the main help screen.
