8. Exit from the Registry Editor.
9. Restart the system.
Installing the Adaptec SCSI Controller Driver
If you reinstall Windows NT 4.0 on a system with an optional Adaptec SCSI controller, be sure to
reinstall the driver for the SCSI controller (2940
SCSIDRV
) from backup diskette during Setup.
To install the 2940
SCSIDRV
driver during Setup:
1. When prompted, press
S
to bypass detection of mass storage devices.
2. When prompted, press
S
to specify a mass storage device other than those listed.
3. When prompted, select Other from the list of devices presented.
4. Follow the prompts to install the driver from the 2940
SCSIDRV
backup diskette. When
presented with a list of Adaptec SCSI controllers, select the entry for Windows NT 4.0.
Windows 95
CAUTION Intergraph Computer Systems does not fully certify Windows 95 on the TDZ 2000,
and does not ship Windows 95 installed on the TDZ 2000. The following basic
information is provided as a courtesy for customers who attempt to install Windows
95 on a TDZ 2000. Intergraph Computer Systems provides no further support for
such installations, and customers assume full responsibility for supporting such
installations.
Installing Windows 95
During installation of Windows 95, after all files have been copied from the Windows 95 CD-
ROM, the system restarts. After this, Setup may prompt you to load various device drivers. If this
happens, cancel the loading of these drivers
After completing Setup, install these system software products in the order given:

2.1, a supplement of Windows 95 Service Release 2.1 that includes support for
Universal Serial Bus (USB).

PIIX

W
95, a software patch that enables Windows 95 to recognize the PIIX4 controller on the
TDZ 2000 system board. You must install
PIIX
4
W
95 to enable Windows 95 to detect the
system’s primary and secondary IDE controllers, and to use the system’s CD-ROM drive.
NOTE If you do not have backup diskettes containing these products, you can get them
from the Support pages on the World Wide Web(http://www.intergraph.com/ics) or
from the Intergraph Bulletin Board Service (1-205-730-8786).
