The Intel

PXA27x Processor Card (processor card) consists of the SDRAM, Synchronous Intel

memory, and clocking mechanism.
The processor card includes the following features:

synchronous memory
2.4.1 SDRAM
Two SDRAM chips, soldered to the card, supply 32 Mbytes of synchronous, dynamic,
random-access memory. This SDRAM maps to the Intel
®
PXA270 Processor Chip Select
nSDCS0. For more information, refer to the Memory Controller chapter in the Intel

2.4.2 Flash Memory
32 Mbytes of the Intel StrataFlash
®
synchronous flash memory normally serve as the system’s boot
ROM (mapped to Intel
®
PXA270 Processor Chip Select nCS0). A switch on the main board allows
swapping an nCS0 signal to the flash memory bank on the main board, which then serves as the
boot ROM. For more information on using the Flash memory as the boot source, see
Section 2.2.3 .
Note: The processor card’s L18 flash memory always uses a 32-bit bus. Do not try to alter the bus width
with the setting of switch SW1.6. If an application requires a 16-bit boot bus, it must use the
