3) Lost your password?
If you lost your administration password you will have to reset your camera to the facto-
ry defaults. Please press the reset button in the back panel of the camera for at least 15s!
Th e camera needs to be under power and unplugged from the network. Aft er the reset
all passwords are set to their default values:

4) No access via the internet?
Your camera automatically sends its WAN IP address to the INSTAR DDNS server dur-
ing the fi rst start-up. It can take up to 12 hours before you can reach your camera via the
ddns-instar address - usually it takes about
30 minutes
. Please note that you fi rst have
to set up a port forwarding rule in your router (s.
5.2.3
). In case you can still not access
your camera, please try to change the HTTP (LAN) port of your camera (standard 80)
- for example to port 85 (s.
5.2.1
). Remember to adjust the port forwarding rule in your
router accordingly. When the HTTP port is unequal to 80 you will have to add the port
with a colon to the DDNS address - e.g.
xxxxx.ddns-instar.com

Usually it is possible to access your camera remotely when it is installed behind a
UMTS,
3G
or
LTE
router. But you might need a special internet package that provides you with
a static WAN IP address. If setting up a port forwarding is not an option, please refer to
the included fl yer

service will work behind mobile access point as well as IPv6 internet connections!
