Preface

Scope of this Manual

This manual describes how to install, configure and operate the Innovx FastSwitch 24 Gigabit
Ethernet Switch. The information contained in this manual has been carefully checked and is
believed to be entirely reliable. This manual is intended for network administrators who are
responsible for installing, provisioning and managing the Innovx FastSwitch 24 device. It assumes
a basic working knowledge of Local area networks (LANs), Ethernet concepts, Ethernet switching
and bridging concepts and Internet Protocol (IP) concepts.
