SNMP Community

Community strings serve as passwords and it has two modes to configure.

•

Read only(ro): Enables requests accompanied by this string to display MIB-object information.

•

Read write(rw). Enables requests accompanied by this string to display MIB-object information
and to set MIB objects.

L2SW> config snmp community mode <ro/rw>

L2SW> config snmp community mode rw

1. To add community name, use the following command. SNMP community name can be up to

16 characters.

L2SW> config snmp community add <name>

L2SW> config snmp community add gdc

2. To delete community name, use the following command. SNMP community name can be up

to 16 characters.

L2SW> config snmp community delete <name>

L2SW> config snmp community delete gdc

3. To display SNMP community settings:
