When using the hair remover, users will usually experience the
following:
• A humming noise comparable to that of a hairdryer. This is the cooling fan
of the hair remover.
• A banging noise with every trigger of a light pulse. This is caused by trig-
gering the light flash.
• Light pressure from the treatment area. The marks created by the pres-
sure on the skin make orientation easier for you for the next light pulse
when using the pulsating method.
• A feeling of warmth and tingling on the area of skin being treated. It is normal
to experience a gentle feeling of warmth and tingling from the light energy.
• A light red or pink colouring of the skin. Slight colouring, particularly
around the hair roots, is normal. However, end use of the hair remover
immediately if you notice complete reddening of the skin, a formation of
blisters or burning.
6.2 Choosing the energy setting
The intensity of the light pulse is determined by the level of energy that is
emitted on the area of skin to be treated. The hair remover has 5 energy
settings and switches on automatically with the lowest energy setting (1). You
can then gradually increase the energy setting according to your skin type and
your level of experience.
