Basic Directions for Use
1) Unscrew the cap on the end of the
Blom-Singer
®
Electrolarynx
and insert
9V Battery.
Press the
ON/OFF
button. You should hear the electronic voice tone. If not, re-insert the battery to assure proper
connection.
2) Place the sound producing membrane located on the end of the
Blom-Singer
®
ElectroLarynx
flat against the left or right
side of your throat just beneath your jaw. Vary the location of contact until the clearest production of “ah” is produced
through your open mouth.
3) Adjust the
Pitch Dial
to suit your needs. Adjust
Volume Dial
to the desired level.
4) Begin to produce single words and short phrases. Speak at a normal speech rate, but slightly exaggerate your mouth
movements to produce the clearest words.
It is recommended that you consult a Speech and Language Therapist
for further instruction in the use of the Blom-Singer
®
ElectroLarynx.

Adjusting the Volume:
The Volume can be adjusted by turning
the Volume Dial (+) or (-) until the desired
level is reached.

The Pitch can be adjusted by turning
the Pitch Dial (+) or (-) until the desired
level is reached.

Cleaning Instructions
Cleaning the Unit:
Clean with dampened cloth only.
Do not use chemical or household cleaners. Never
allow moisture or liquids to come in contact with the
unit as they could damage the surface and electrical
components.

Warranty

The Blom-Singer Electrolarynx device is warranted for 3 years from date of manufacture. Should the device be sent back while under
warranty it will be repaired or replaced with a new device free of charge on manufacturing defects only.

This warranty is invalid if the factory applied serial number has been altered or removed from the device.
•
This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage, damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, neglience, multiple patient use,
dropping the device, exposing the device to heat or water or dampness, any repair or modification of the device, and devices lost or
damaged in shipment.
•
The warranty applies only to the original individual user and is invalid for multiple patient use.
•
This warranty does not cover batteries and/or battery chargers.
•
To obtain warranty service, you must contact InHealth Technologies with the serial number and receive a return authorization. The device
must be returned in its original packaging or packaging affording an equal degree of protection to InHealth Technologies.
