WARNING
Sound and vibration values were measured in compliance with internationally recognized
test standards. The exposure to the user in a specific tool application may vary from these
results. Therefore, on site measurements should be used to determine the hazard level in
that specific application.
Installation and Air Supply
Size air supply line to ensure tool’s maximum operating pressure (PMAX) at tool inlet. Drain
condensate from valve(s) at low point(s) of piping, air filter and compressor tank daily. Install
a properly sized Safety Air Fuse upstream of hose and use an anti-whip device across any
hose coupling without internal shut-off, to prevent hose whipping if a hose fails or coupling
disconnects.
NOTICE
This tool requires water, oil & particulate-free compressed air. Do not use a Lubricator with
the Air Filter and Regulator.
Spindle Lock Activation
Activation of the spindle lock will allow both the adjustment of the guard and the changing of
the grinding wheel/disc.
To activate the spindle lock (refer to Figure A on Page 2):
1. Disconnect the tool from the air supply.
2. Depress the actuator (A) located on the angle head and keep depressed during spindle lock
activation. This locks the grinding wheel/disc and prevents it from rotating.
. Rotate the grinding wheel/disc until there is an audible click.
4. Unscrew tension nut and remove grinding wheel/disc.
5. Mount new grinding wheel/disc and release actuator button (A).
NOTICE
Make sure spindle rotates freely before reconnecting to the air supply.
Adjustment of Handle Position
Handle position can be moved from the left side to the right (Refer to Figure B on Page 2).
1. Disconnect the tool from the air supply.
2. Unfasten the handle swivel bushing.
. Unfasten the blanking plug (A) and reposition on the opposite side of the tool.
4. Reposition the handle on the opposite side of the tool and fasten with swivel bushing.
