Instruments, Features and Controls

Throttle Control Grip

The throttle control grip is

located on the right

handlebar. Use the throttle

control grip to control

engine speed.
While seated in the proper

riding position:
• Roll the grip rearward to

open the throttle

(increase engine speed and power).

• Roll the grip forward to close the throttle (decrease

engine speed and power).

The control grip is spring loaded. When you release the

grip, the throttle returns to the idle position.

Clutch Lever

The clutch lever is

located on the left

handlebar. Disengage the

clutch before shifting

gears. For smooth clutch

operation, pull the lever

quickly and release it in a

brisk but controlled

manner.
• To disengage the clutch, pull the lever toward the

handlebar.

• To engage the clutch, release the lever in a brisk but

controlled manner.
