Place the water alarm close to a position which you would like to monitor or which is at risk of
water escaping e.g. cellar, bathroom, laundry room, kitchen.
Place the sensor at the desired monitoring position. Whilst doing so make sure that the length of
the connecting cable reaches the position where the alarm unit will be mounted. The height of the
sensor contacts determines the water level at which an acoustic alarm is triggered.
Place the alarm unit above the monitoring position so that it is not in an area endangered by water.

Position the sensor [7] at the desired position either by
laying the sensor on the surface with the sucker facing upwards
or firmly pushing the sucker [9] onto the surface. The surface here must be smooth, clean, dry
and free of dirt otherwise the sucker will only adhere for a short time.

Read through these operating instructions fully and carefully. The operating instructions belong to this
product and contain important points concerning bringing the appliance into service and its operation.
Always pay attention to all safety instructions. Should you have any questions or be unsure about
operating the appliance - ask a specialist, inform yourself on the internet under www.pentatech.de, or
get in touch with the service office. Keep these instructions in a safe place and should the need arise
pass them on to a third party.
This water alarm consists of an alarm unit and a sensor connected to it. The appliance notifies you with
a loud warning signal or with a melody. It can be used to a monitor for escaping water from e.g.
washing machines, dishwashers or water pipes as well as to let you know whether a container is filled to
the desired level e.g. a bath tub.
The appliance is designed for operation indoors in private households only. A 9 volt block battery is the
only power supply permitted.
Any other use or change of the appliance is improper use. No liability shall be assumed for
consequential damage as well as damage which is caused by improper use.
This appliance is not intended to be used by people (including children) with restricted physical, sensory
or mental capacities, or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by or receive
instructions how to use the appliance from a person responsible for their safety.
Children must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Where liability is not expressly stipulated by law, claims for damages are ruled out, particularly those for
compensation for damage to persons or property, which occur outside the appliance due to non-
functioning or incorrect functioning.
After unpacking immediately check that the delivery is complete and that the appliances are
undamaged.
