ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED

The electrical safety of this appliance can only be guaranteed if the latter is correctly and efficiently
earthed, in compliance with regulations on electrical safety. Always ensure that this vital safety
measure has been taken. If you have any doubts, call in a qualified technician to check the
electrical system thoroughly.

The manufacturer denies all responsibility for damage resulting from a system which has not been
earthed correctly.

Before powering the appliance, check whether the technical characteristics featured on the
appliance data plate correspond with those of the mains electrical system.

Check that the current load of the mains supply and of the power sockets is suitable for the
maximum power of the appliance, indicated on the appliance data plate.
If in doubt, contact a qualified professional.

Voltage and Frequency of Power Supply:

230 - 240 V
7200W

Connecting the Supply Cable to the Electrical Mains

The hob must be connected to the mains by a double pole mains switch which must have a minimum
of 3 mm space between contacts, be correctly fused with a capacity appropriate to that shown on the
hob rating plate.

Before making the connection, make sure that: -

the limiter switch (fuse) and the residual wiring can support the appliance load. Refer to the rating
plate.

the mains system is properly earthed in compliance with current regulations and provisions.

there is easy access to the socket or the double pole switch after the appliance is installed.

IMPORTANT

If the hob is installed above a built-in oven, the electrical connection for the hob must be independent
of that for the oven, both for safety reasons and to facilitate the removal of the oven for maintenance,
repair etc.

The hob is equipped with a pre-connected electricity supply cable, which is designed for single phase
connection. Connect the wires in accordance with the instructions given in the following table and
diagrams: -

If replacing the supplied cable, use a suitable cable, H05RR-F or higher with the correct dimensions,
(cable cross section 25 mm).
