7.3.8 DYNAMIC RANGE COMPRESSION (DRC)
This function reduces the variation in volume in the programmes of
a station. This means that very loud sections of the broadcast will be
reduced in volume, while very soft sections will be increased in volume.
Note:
dRC is only effective if this function is supported by the network provi-
der for the specific programme.
1.
Select > dRC in the menu, and press the ENTER key.
2.
use the “>” or “<” keys to select one of the available
options: dRC off, high, low.
dRC off:
dRC is switched off.
dRC high:
dRC is switched on, the suitable setting for large
variances in volume.
dRC low:
dRC is set to half strength.
