Operating Your Microwave Oven
Before operating your microwave oven, be sure to read all instructions and familiarize yourself
with all safety precautions. Please also be familiar with the
RECOMMENDED UTENSILS AND
MATERIALS
and
COOKING TECHNIQUES
sections.
SETTING THE CLOCK
When the microwave is plugged in, you will need to set the clock.
1. From standby mode, press the
CLOCK
button (press this a second time for 24 hr clock).
2. Use the number pads to enter the correct time.
3. Press the
CLOCK
button to confirm.
BASIC MICROWAVE COOKING
Do not use the Baking Plate in microwave
mode!
1. Place food in the oven and close the door.
2. Select a power level by pressing the
POWER
LEVEL
button the number of times required for
the desired power level (see the chart to the
right). Press once for 100% Power.
3. Enter the desired cooking time on the number
pad.
The maximum time allowed is 99 min. 99 sec.
4. Touch
START
.
During cooking, press the POWER LEVEL button
to show the current cooking power. If cooking is
paused due to the door being opened, press START
after the door is closed (within one minute) to
resume cooking.
CONVECTION
During convection cooking, hot air is circulated throughout the
oven cavity to cook foods quickly, crisply and evenly. Convec-
tion cooking can be set for ten different temperatures. Press
CONVECTION
to check the cooking temperature during cooking.
To cook with convection, press
CONVECTION
once and then press
the number pad to enter the desired convection temperature. See
the chart to the right for the correct number.
For example, to cook food in the oven at
320°F
for 40 minutes:
1. Place food in the oven and close the door.
2. Press
CONVECTION
