2.5
Fault and anomaly signalling.
The Victrix 24 kW X boiler indicates any malfunctions using a code shown
on the boiler display (1).
In case of malfunction or anomaly the problem is indicated by flashing of
the symbol (
) and light-up of the relative error code:
Anomaly signalled
Error
code
No power block, parassite flame
01
Safety thermostat block (overtemperature), exhaust ther-
mostat or flame control anomaly
02
Delivery sensor anomaly
05
Reset selector broken
08
Calibration function on (displayed on RFC)
09
System pressure too low
10
Boiler probe anomaly
12
Fan anomaly
16
Insufficient circulation
27
Remote control communication loss
31
N.B.:
on the Remote Friend Control (Optional) the error code corresponds
to the preceding list with the letter “E” in front (e.g. code 01 RFC code
E01).
Ignition block.
The boiler lights up with each demand for room heating or
hot water production. If this does not occur within 10 seconds, the boiler
goes on “ignition block” (code 01). To eliminate the “ignition block”, turn
the main selector (2) temporarily to the Reset position. On first ignition
or following a prolonged downtime the “ignition failure” signal may have
to be inhibited. If this phenomenon occurs frequently, contact a qualified
technician for assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical Services Centre).
Overtemperature block.
During operation, if a fault causes excessive
overheating internally, in the exhaust, or an anomaly occurs in the flame
control section, an overtemperature block is triggered in the boiler (code
02). To eliminate the “overtemperature block”, turn the main selector (2)
temporarily to the Reset position. If this phenomenon occurs frequently,
contact a qualified technician for assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical
Services Centre).
System delivery sensor anomaly.
If the board detects an anomaly on the
system delivery NTC sensor (code 05) the boiler will not start; contact
a qualified technician for assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical Services
Centre).
Domestic sensor anomaly.
If the board detects an anomaly on the domestic
system NTC sensor (code 06) the boiler will signal the anomaly. In this case
the boiler will continue to produce domestic hot water, but performance
levels will not be optimum. Also, in this case the antifreeze function is
disabled and it is therefore necessary to contact a qualified technician (e.g.
from the Immergas Service centre).
Reset selector broken.
If the selector (2) stays at Reset for more than 30
seconds, due to a malfunction, the boiler will signal an anomaly (code
08). Turn the boiler off and then on again. If the anomaly is still signalled
even when the boiler is turned on again, contact a qualified technician for
assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical Services Centre).
System pressure too low.
The water pressure sensed within the heating
circuit is insufficient to guarantee proper operation of the boiler. Make
sure the pressure in the system is between 1÷1.2 bar. If normal conditions
are restored the boiler restarts without having to be reset. If this anomaly
persists, contact a qualified technician for assistance (e.g. Immergas Techni-
cal Assistance Service).
Boiler probe anomaly.
If the control board detects an anomaly in the boiler
probe (code 12), the boiler will not produce domestic hot water. In this
case contact a qualified technician for assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical
Services Centre).
Fan anomaly.
This occurs if there is a mechanical or electronic malfunction
in the fan. Try turning the boiler off and then on again. If this anomaly
persists, contact a qualified technician for assistance (e.g. Immergas Techni-
cal Assistance Service).
Insufficient water circulating.
This occurs if there is overheating in the
boiler due to insufficient water circulating in the primary circuit; the
causes can be:
- low circulation; check that no shutoff devices are closed on the heating
circuit and that the system is free of air (deaerated);
- circulating pump blocked; free the circulating pump.
If this phenomenon occurs frequently, contact a qualified technician for
assistance (e.g. Immergas Technical Services Centre).
Remote control communication loss.
This occurs if an uncompatible
remote control is connected, or if communication between the boiler and
the Remote Friend Control is lost. Try the connection procedure again by
turning the boiler off and turning the selector (2) to (
). If the RFC
is still not detected on re-starting the boiler will switch to local operating
mode, i.e. using the controls on the boiler itself. If this phenomenon oc-
curs frequently, contact a qualified technician for assistance (e.g. Immergas
Technical Services Centre).
Signalling and diagnostics - Display on Remote Friend Control screen
(optional).
During normal boiler operation the room temperature value
is displayed on the Remote Friend Control screen; in case of malfunction
or anomaly, the temperature is replaced by the relative error code given in
the table above.
Important:
if the boiler is set to stand-by “
”. The remote control is
not powered, which means that all the programs stored will be lost if the
batteries run out.
2.6
Boiler shutdown.
Turn the main selector (2) to “
” and turn off the gas tap upstream of
the appliance.
Never leave the boiler switched on if left unused for prolonged periods.
2.7
Restoring heating system pressure.
Periodically check the system water pressure.
The boiler pressure gauge should read a pressure between 1 and 1.2 bar.
If the pressure falls below 1 bar (with the circuit cool) restore normal pressure
via the valve located at the bottom of the boiler (see figure).
N.B.:
close the valve afterwards.
If pressure values reach around 3 bar the safety valve may be activated.
In this case contact a professional technician for assistance.
In the event of frequent pressure drops, contact qualified personnel for
assistance to eliminate the possible system leakage.
