Changing the Drilling Needle
IML-RESI PD-Series
In order to change the drilling needle, select the drilling needle symbol in
the main menu. The menu shown above appears. For automatic needle
change select ‚AUTO‘ for manual needle change select ‚MANUAL‘. If no
needle breakage or telescope damage exists always select the automatic
needle change. The double arrow allows the movement of the feed unit.
The drilling needle is extended until it reaches the changing position.
Then the message displayed above appears. Hold the blade of the drilling
needle with the universal pliers and press the button ‚OK‘.
After having removed the drilling needle the message shown above
appears. Pull the old needle out of the instrument and insert a new one.
Hold the new drilling needle on the blade with the universal pliers and
select ‚OK‘. Only release the drilling needle when it is retracted backwards
to the end position.
