4.2  Connection and operation

Before establishing or changing any connection, always switch off the speaker system 
and the units to be connected!

Use the XLR jack or the 6.3 mm jack to connect a microphone.

LINE IN (8)

Use the XLR jack or the RCA jacks to connect a line level signal 
source (e. g. CD player, mixer).

LINE OUT (9)

When an additional active speaker system is required to provide 
sound to a larger area, connect the line level input of the addi-
tional speaker system to one of these output jacks. The output 
level of the jack is independent of the control MASTER (13)

Use the mains cable supplied to connect the mains jack to a 
mains  socket  (230 V/ 50 Hz)

To switch the speaker system on or off. Before switching on 
the speaker system, set the control MASTER (13) to “0” to 
make sure that the initial volume is not too high.

Use these controls to mix the signals of the MP3 player/ Blue-
tooth receiver, the microphone and the unit connected to the 
input LINE IN (8). For this, turn up the control MASTER (13) 
until the signals can be heard well. If an input or unit is not 
used, set the corresponding control to “0”.

Use this control to adjust the volume as desired. If the LED 
indicator CLIP (17) lights up frequently, the speaker is over-
loaded; in this case, reduce the volume accordingly.

Use these controls to adjust the tone.

4.3  MP3 player

To replay MP3 files, insert a USB flash drive into the USB port (3) and/or insert a mem-
ory card into the slot SD (1), notched corner of the card upwards and facing the unit. 

Note:

 Due to the large number of storage device manufacturers and device drivers, it cannot be 

guaranteed that all storage media are compatible with the MP3 player.

4.4  Remote control

The MP3 player is supplied with power by means 
of a 3 V button cell. If the remote control is de-
livered with the battery inserted, remove the 
protective film (used to prevent the battery from 
discharging) from the battery support. The re-
mote control will then be ready for operation. 
When pressing a button, always point the re-
mote control at the IR sensor located behind the 
protective grille of the bass speaker. Make sure 
that there are no obstacles between the sensor 
and the remote control.

Replacing the battery

1) Push the latch of the battery holder to the 

right (arrow 1 in figure below) and remove 
the holder (arrow 2).

2) Remove the discharged battery and insert the 

new battery (3 V button cell of type CR 2025) 
with the positive pole facing upwards.

3) Push the holder back into the remote control.

Batteries must not be placed in the 
household waste. Always take them to 
a special waste disposal (e. g. collection 
container at your retailer).
