4) Mit dem 5-Band-Equalizer (13) den Klang für das
Summensignal an den Buchsen MASTER (19)
einstellen.
5) Mit dem Regler MASTER (12) die gewünschte
Lautstärke für die Ausgänge MASTER (19) ein-
stellen. Der Pegel wird von dem Stereo-VU-
Meter (4) angezeigt. In der Regel wird eine opti-
male Aussteuerung erreicht, wenn das VU-Meter
bei durchschnittlich lauten Passagen Werte im
0-dB-Bereich anzeigt. Ist der Ausgangspegel je-
doch für das nachfolgende Gerät zu hoch oder zu
niedrig, den Signalpegel entsprechend verrin-
gern oder erhöhen.
5.2 Mikrofondurchsagen
1) Zum Einschalten des angeschlossenen Mikro-
fons die Taste MIC ON (9) drücken. Die LED über
der Taste leuchtet.
2) In das Mikrofon sprechen und die gewünschte
Lautstärke mit dem Regler LEVEL (8) einstellen.
Tritt eine akustische Rückkopplung auf (lauter
Pfeifton) oder ist der Eingangspegel auch bei
gering aufgedrehtem Regler noch zu hoch, den
PAD-Schalter (2) in die Position ON schieben.
Der Eingangspegel wird dadurch reduziert.
3) Den Klang mit den Reglern (7) LOW (Bässe),
MID (Mitten) und HIGH (Höhen) einstellen.
5.3 Abhören der Kanäle über einen Kopfhörer
Jeder der Stereo-Eingangskanäle CH 1 – 4 lässt
sich über einen an der Buchse (16) angeschlosse-
nen Kopfhörer abhören, auch wenn der dazuge-
hörige Kanalfader (10) auf Minimum steht. Dadurch
kann z. B. auf einer CD der gewünschte Titel ausge-
wählt oder der richtige Zeitpunkt zum Einblenden
einer Signalquelle abgepasst werden.
Wahlweise ist es auch möglich, das Summen-
signal vor dem Regler MASTER (12) abzuhören.
1) Zum Vorhören eines Eingangskanals die Taste
PFL (11) des Kanals drücken (LED darüber
leuchtet auf) und den Regler MIX (14) ganz nach
links auf die Position „PFL“ drehen.
2) Zum Abhören des Summensignals den Regler
MIX ganz nach rechts auf die Position „PGM“
(Musikprogramm) drehen.
Steht der Regler MIX zwischen den Positio-
nen „PFL“ und „PGM“ sind das Kanalsignal und
das Summensignal gleichzeitig zu hören.
3) Mit dem Regler LEVEL (15) die gewünschte
Kopfhörerlautstärke einstellen.

4) With the 5-band equalizer (13), adjust the sound
for the master signal at the jacks MASTER (19).
5) Adjust the desired volume for the outputs
MASTER (19) with the control MASTER (12).
The level will be indicated by the stereo
VU-meter (4). Usually, an optimum level control is
obtained when the VU-meter indicates values in
the 0 dB range at average volume. However, if
the output level is too high or too low for the
following unit, reduce or increase the signal level
accordingly.
5.2 Microphone announcements
1) For switching on the microphone connected,
press the button MIC ON (9). The LED above the
button will light up.
2) Speak into the microphone and adjust the de-
sired volume with the control LEVEL (8). In case
of acoustic feedback (loud howling) or if the input
level is too high although the control is advanced
only slightly, set the PAD switch (2) to the position
ON. Thus, the input level will be reduced.
3) Adjust the sound with the controls (7) LOW, MID
and HIGH.
5.3 Monitoring the channels via headphones
Each of the stereo input channels CH 1 – 4 can be
monitored via headphones connected to the jack
(16), even if the corresponding channel fader (10) is
set to minimum. This allows e. g. to select the de-
sired title on a CD or to time the right moment for
fading in a signal source.
Alternatively, it is also possible to monitor the
master signal ahead of the control MASTER (12).
1) For prefader listening to an input channel, press
the button PFL (11) of the channel (LED above it
will light up) and set the control MIX (14) to the
left stop, i. e. position “PFL”.
2) To monitor the master signal, set the control MIX
to the right stop, i. e. position “PGM” (music
programme).
With the control MIX between the positions
“PFL” and “PGM”, the channel signal and the
master signal can be heard at the same time.
3) Adjust the desired headphone volume with the
control LEVEL (15).
