When switched on, the auto shut off timer on the control unit is automatically set to 1 hour and number 1
lights up on the timer display (7). To set the timer, press the timer button (8) and select either 1h or 9h. This
will be illuminated in green on the timer display (7).
TIMER OFF/STANDBY: when the set time period has elapsed, the underblanket will automatically switch
off and the standby light will be illuminated in blue on the standby display (10). If you wish to switch your
underblanket back on, you will need to reset it by first switching it OFF (0) on the back and then switching
it ON (11) again.
MANUAL SWITCH OFF FOR BOTH UNDERBLANKET AND CONTROL: switch the back of your
underblanket to the OFF (0) position (11).
MEMORY FUNCTION: when you use your underblanket for more than 5 minutes, your last temperature
setting will be remembered.
DISCONNECT: to disconnect your underblanket from the mains socket, switch the control to the OFF (0)
position on the back of your control (11), then remove the plug from the mains socket.
WARNING! DO NOT place the control unit under the pillow
or under the sheets when in use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
The underblanket can be washed. Check the washing symbols on the label of the underblanket to wash
it correctly.
WARNING! Always disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply before cleaning or performing maintenance.
BEFORE WASHING YOUR UNDERBLANKET:
1. disconnect the control unit from the mains socket;
2. disconnect the connector (2) from the underblanket by pressing the push buttons at the sides of the
control connector (1);
3. ensure that the controls are not connected and none of the wires have worn through the fabric;
4. measure the underblanket before washing and check that the dimensions are approximately the
same before drying.
MACHINE WASHING
• the underblanket can be machine washed at 40°C on a wool programme.
• only use the gentle spin cycle. DO NOT run an additional spin cycle.
TUMBLE DRYING
• tumble dry at a low temperature.
• DO NOT use the underblanket until it is completely dry.
HANGING THE UNDERBLANKET OUTSIDE TO DRY
• The underblanket must be stretched back to approximately its original size during the drying process. This
is best done whilst damp, working from side to side, stretching a piece at a time. This procedure may need
to be repeated a few times until fully dry.
• Make sure the wires are not kinked or twisted. It is easier to check the wires by placing the underblanket
against the light.
