TROUBLESHOOTING
This chapter describes the most common problems related using the appliance. If the
problems cannot be resolved with the information below, please contact the Authorised
Service Centre in your country.

Verify that the appliance is connected
correctly to the power cable and the ON

The switching ON and OFF of the LED
indicates the heating phase of the iron. The

Smoke comes out of the
appliance when it is switched on

This is absolutely normal and is
due to the expansion of the plastic
material.
This no longer occurs after a while.
Impurities come out of the plate
of the new iron.
This is perfectly normal in a new
iron.
These particles are completely harmless
and will disappear after the iron is used a
few times.
Drops of water come out of the
plate.
The iron temperature adjustment
knob (12) is set to a temperature that
is too low for steam ironing.
Set the knob to a suitable temperature
for steam ironing (refer to the “IRONING”
chapter).
The appliance does not produce
steam.
The appliance is not on.
Press the ON buttons of the iron (6) and
the boiler (7).
The steam button (11) is not being
pressed.

Steam comes out from the boiler
safety cap (1) while ironing.
The boiler safety cap (1) may
have not bee closed correctly or
water may have leaked while being
topped-up.
Switch the appliance OFF and let it cool
down. Remove the boiler safety cap (1),
dry the water around the top-up opening
and tighten the cap. The appliance can
then be switched back on.
