Scenario 2
A user is to define the motion detection area(s) in the camera view. When someone goes across these areas,
camera is aware of the trigger activated and then an illuminator device attached to the camera will be lighted
up. Meanwhile, camera is to upload the images to a FTP server. This detection should be activated from
22:00 to 08:00 everyday.
The configurations are illustrated as below,
1. Suppose that the required media type is previously configured. That is 1 pre-alarm picture and 2 post-
alarm pictures configured in Scenario 1.
2. In
Event Server List
, click on “Add New”. Choose “FTP” and fill in the ftp server and log in
information.
3. Go
to
Motion Configuration
page, and define the MD areas.
4. Go
to
DI/DO Setting
page, and set up the “Initial Status” of the digital output.
NOTE
The “Initial Status” is the normal state (no event triggered) of the DO pins. In the case, suppose that
the connected illuminator can be driven by DC12V. The initial status should then be set “Open”.
When a motion event is detected, camera changes the output status to “12VDC”. The illuminator is
then lighted up.
5. Go
to
Event List
page. Click on “Add New” button.
