3. Cutting height adjustment
WARNING!
Turn mower off before adjusting cut-
ting height lever.
For best results adjust the cutting height of your mower
to suit your mower conditions. Do not try to remove too
much grass in one pass.
Adjustment of the cutting height is made centrally. Turn
off the mower and take the weight of the mower by lifting.
Take hold of the Cut Height
Adjustment Lever, positioned on the mower’s right-hand
rear wheel.
Move the lever outwards to release it from its locating
notch. Move the lever towards the fornt of the machine to
increase the cutting height and towards the rear to reduce
the cutting height. Return the lever to the locating notch
to set the desired cutting height. Make sure the handle
fits snugly and securely into its serrated holder (fig. 11).

Starting the engine
WARNING!
Keep hands, feet and clothing well
away from moving parts, the exhaust, and the
engine cowling. Refer to “Tips on mower safety”.
1.
Make sure that your mower is on a safe, flat area (a
paved area or path is ideal– avoid thick wet grass
and gravel surfaces) to make starting safe.

Push the red primer three times.(see fig.12)
Note:
Priming is usually unnecessary when restart-
ing a warm engine.
Note:
If you push the primer too many times, exces-
sive fuel will flood the carburetor and the engine will
be difficult to start.
3. Firmly hold the brake lever with one hand, and then
with your other hand pull the cord slowly until you
feel resistance. Then pull vigorously with one posi-
tive action (see fig.13).Guide the cord back to it’s rest
position (Do not release).
4. If not using the recoil starter, you can also press elec-
tric start button to start the engine, see fig.15
5. Insert the safety key (17) in the corresponding slot in
the battery compartment (13) (Fig. 14). Then press
the starting button for the electric started (Fig. 15) to
start the motor.
Warning!
Take out the safety key (17) if the mower
is not in use and keep it out of the reach of children.
WARNING:
The cutting blade turns when the en-
gine is being started.
