effect may result in the operator loosing control over
the tool. Therefore, always use the handle and shoul-
der strap and firmly hold the tool.
• When working with the blade, do not try to cut plants
with a diameter of more than 0.5 cm as this may lead
to a hard kickback.
• Do not try to stop the blade or touch it when it is turning.
• If you touch an object or get caught (with the device)
switch off the engine immediately and check the
device for possible damage, before you try to go on
working. Do not work with a deformed or blunt blade.
• Make sure that the trimmer is not soiled by parts
of plants or other materials. These might get stuck
between the blade and protection cover holder.
• Switch off the engine IMMEDIATELY if you realise
that there are strong vibrations. In case of vibrations,
serious problems might be ahead. Before you go on
working, carefully examine the tool for loose screws
and nuts and for possible defects. Repair or replace
the affected parts if required.
After operation
• Clean the blade with a household cleaner to remove
mastic pitch/resin which might be on it. Then lubricate the
blade using machine oil to avoid the formation of rust.
• Lock the blade in a proper place to protect it from
unauthorised use.
• Lock the brushcutter in a proper, dry room to protect
it from unauthorised use and damage.
11. Maintenance of the gear
(
fig.20)
1. Check the lubricant of the gear every 50 operating hours.
2. To check the lubrication of the gear unscrew the filler
plug. If you cannot see any grease in the lubricator bore
use a grease gun or commercially available grease tube
to refill grease until it comes out of the bore. Afterwards,
carefully screw-in the filler plug again. Use a commer-
cially available gear grease to lubricate the gear.
12. Trouble Shooting
