7-2-3. Light amount adjustment (LIGHT CONT.)
Detailed setting for backlight correction and AES is available.
Backlight correction setting
In the backlight correction sub menu, the following settings are available:
Item Contents
Default
aperture
BLC To choose backlight correction mode. OFF
OFF Deactivate backlight correction
ON Implement backlight correction.
SPOT Implement backlight correction,
specifying spot area.
If you press [E], spot area
specification is possible.
PEAK The setting is available when BLC is OFF. 60
BLC LEVEL To set the backlight correction level. When the 50
value increases, the amount of correction at
the backlight gets larger too.
The setting is available when the BLC or
SPOT function is ON.
LEVEL When the LEVEL value gets larger, the lens 80
aperture opens accordingly (brightness
increases). Please adjust to the appropriate
position based on the actual circumstances.
Spot area setting
Used to set the spot area. It corrects the brightness level in the setting area.
The setting method is the same as for the position setting of the privacy mask.

AES setting
When AES is set, the following settings are available on page 2 of the sub menu:

Default
aperture
FAST LIMIT To set the upper limit for the shutter side. The 1/10000
shutter speed will not exceed this value.
SLOW LIMIT To set the lower limit for the shutter side. The 1/50
shutter speed will not go below this value.
RESPONSE To set the response speed. When the value is 0
set high, high-speed is implemented but the
unit is now prone to hunting.
