Resetting parameters to factory default
settings (RESET)
To reset the parameters to the default settings, proceed as fol-
lows:
• Switch off the unit at the main ON/OFF switch.
• Hold the membrane buttons ”Visc” and ”Temp” pressed down
and switch on the main ON/OFF switch. After approx. 10
seconds the display will begin to flash. Release the membrane
buttons.
• The unit is now set on the factory default settings.
The IKAMAG RET control-visc/C can be operated in the following
three modes of operation:
10.1
A Mode of operation
The IKAMAG RET control-visc/C is switched at our Works to the
A
-mode of operation. In this mode, an operation is only possible
when
the PT temperature measuring sensor
(PT 100 or
PT 1000) is inserted. When the instrument is switched on
(„power“), functions heating and stirring are switched off.
The set rated values are stored and digitally displayed. They are
taken over when the respective function is switched on. The set
rated values can be changed. If there has been an interruption of
the mains,
both functions have to be restarted
.
The safety circuit can be set or modified. When the power supply
switch is switched on,
A
is displayed.
10.2
B Mode of operation
In this mode of operation can be worked with or without
PT tem-
perature measuring sensor
(PT 100 or PT 1000). When the inn-
strument is switched on, the state of the functions heating an stir-
ring before the last switching off (mains OFF) as well as

the data set last are taken over. The set rated values can be chan-
ged. The safety circuit can be set or modified.

B
- mode of operation wich is indicated by symbol „
Q
“.
When the power supply switch is switched on,
B
is displayed.

C Mode of operation
In this mode of operation can be worked with or without
PT tem-
perature measuring sensor
(PT 100 or PT 1000). When the
instrument is switched on, the state of the functions heating and
stirring before the last switching off (mains OFF), as well as the
data set last are taken over. The set rated values from
A
-and
B
-
modes of operating cannot be changed.
The safety circuit
cannot
be set or modified. When the power
supply switch is switched on,
C
is displayed.
10.4
X1 Mode of operation
In this mode of operation X1 the equipment behaves as in the
mode of operation
A
with the following exceptions:
- The allocation of the two PT 1000 temperature measuring sen-
sors is firm.
- No Error 5, if the PT 1000 temperature measuring sensor from
the reaction container is taken.
10.5
Reversing the modes of operation
For reversing the modes of operation, the following steps are
required:
• Switch off the instrument by way of mains switch.
• Keep foil key „Mot“ and „Temp“ depressed and switch instru-
ment on via mains switch, release foil keys after about 1 second.
