WATER HEAT PUMP WORK?
An air-to-water heat pump works by transferring heat from the air outside to water inside a building, such as for
heating the space or heating water for domestic use.
The heat pump consists of several main components including an outdoor unit, indoor unit, and a distribution
system.
1. Outdoor Unit: The outdoor unit contains a compressor, a heat exchanger, and a fan. The compressor is
responsible for increasing the pressure and temperature of the refrigerant gas. The heat exchanger allows heat to
be transferred between the refrigerant gas and the outdoor air. The fan helps to draw in air and circulate it through
the heat exchanger.
2. Indoor Unit: The indoor unit contains another heat exchanger and a circulation pump. The heat exchanger allows
heat to be transferred between the refrigerant gas and the water inside the building. The circulation pump is
responsible for circulating the water through the heat exchanger and throughout the building.
