NS3562-8P-2S-V2 Industrial Managed Switch User Manual 

3.  Select the firmware file and then click 

Upload

. The Software Upload Progress 

displays the file with upload status. 

4.  After the software is uploaded to the system successfully, the following screen 

appears. The system loads the new software after reboot. 

 

Note: 

DO NOT Power OFF

 the industrial managed switch until the update progress is 

completed. 

Note: 

Do not quit the Firmware Upgrade page without clicking the 

OK

 button after the 

image is loaded. Otherwise, the system won’t apply the new firmware and the user has 
to repeat the firmware upgrade process. 

Save startup configuration 

This function ensures that the current active configuration can be used after the next 
reboot.  

 

After clicking 

Save Configuration

, the following screen appears. 

 

Configuration download 

The managed switch stores its configuration in a number of text files in CLI format. The 
files are either virtual (RAM-based) or stored in flash on the switch.  

There are three system files:  

• 

running-config

: A virtual file that represents the currently active configuration on 

the switch. This file is volatile. 

• 

startup-config

: The startup configuration for the switch, read at boot time.
