Embedded displays, used e.g. in
ifm
devices, cannot provide the full colour scope of bitmap graphics
because the available power reserves are restricted. Nevertheless, the following preparations enable
bitmap images in the device:

Correct selection of the motifs,

clever shifting of colours or
clever compilation of a colour palette and

the correct scaling of the bitmaps before using them in the device.

