11 Troubleshooting
11.1 Status LEDs
The status LEDs signal the occurrence of errors and provide information about the cause of the error.
11.2 Resetting IP settings of the Ethernet ports
If the IP addresses of the Ethernet ports are lost, the user can reset the IP settings to the factory
settings.
Requirements:
ü
The device is switched off.
ü
USB memory is available.
u
Create the following file in the root directory of the USB memory:
restorenetworksettings.txt
u
Connect the USB memory to the USB port usb0 or usb1 of the device.
u
Connect the device to the supply voltage.
w
The device starts.
w
IP settings of the Ethernet ports are reset.
w
The device changes the name of the file on the USB memory to:
restorenetworksettings.rdy
11.3 Deleting a faulty CODESYS project
If a faulty CODESYS boot project prevents the device from starting properly, the user can delete the
CODESYS project on the device.
Requirements:

The device is switched off.
ü
USB memory is available.
u
Create the following file in the root directory of the USB memory:
killbootapp.txt
u
Connect the USB memory to the USB port usb0 or usb1 of the device.
u
Connect the device to the supply voltage.
w
The device starts.
w
The CODESYS boot project will be deleted.
w
The device changes the name of the file on the USB memory to:
killbootapp.rdy
