10. WARNINGS
IE 326S-2L detector is a reliable, high quality device, which needs periodic maintenance in order to operate properly
and not cause false alarms.
This smoke detector is particularly designed to initiate and activate emergency action, but will do so only when used
together with an authorized fire alarm system. This detector must be installed in compliance with the laws in force in the
country where the product is installed.
This smoke detector is meant to protect property, not life. Smoke detectors do not provide early warning of fire and can-
not detect gas, combustion particles, or flames.
Smoke detectors are components of professionally installed fire alarm systems.
SERVICING SCHEDULE:
Maintenance operation depends on ambient conditions and should be carried out in compliance with the laws in force
in the country where the product is installed.
Inspect detector periodically following below steps:
1. Ensure the detector head is undamaged. Check plastic structure and insect filter.
2. Ensure the smoke entry apertures are not obstructed by whatever objects.
3. Clean the detector if there are deposits on it.
4. Ensure no equipment which may generate combustion products or fine airborne particles, has been installed nearby
the detector following last inspection. If so, then you should notify the Fire Safety Officer or other competent authority its
presence, as this may cause false alarms.
Detectors should be tested and maintained following the instructions in this manual. To be safe, they should be replaced
every ten years.
Do not disassemble sensor head or any other parts. This will void product warranty.
