The switch is designed for use in an environment with a degree
of contamination 3 (conductive contamination or dry, non-conductive
contamination that becomes conductive due to the expected condensation
is possible). The environment is non-explosive, does not contain aggressive
gases and vapors in concentrations that destroy metals and insulation, is not
saturated with conductive dust and water vapor.
Technical data
The switch of VA44 type is available with combined disconnectors (thermal
and electromagnetic).
The technical data of the switch are given in table 1.
The response characteristic of the thermal release is given in table 2.
The time-current characteristics of the switch are shown in figures 1–4.
The electrical circuit of the switch is shown in figure 5.
The overall dimensions of the switch are shown in figures 6–9.
For the switch, it is possible to install additional devices presented in table 3.

Installation and operation rules
The operation of the switch should be carried out in accordance with the
current requirements of the rules on electrical safety, as well as with other
regulatory and technical documentation regulating the operation, commissioning
and repair of electrical equipment.
The switches are installed on a metal panel with a thickness of at least 3 mm
or on a panel made of insulating material with a thickness of at least 6 mm and
fixed with screws included in the delivery package.
The normal operating position of the switches in space is on the vertical
plane with pins 1, 3, 5 up, it is allowed to be installed on a vertical plane with pins
1, 3, 5 rotated left or right by 90
°
.
The switches allow the supply of voltage from the power supply both from
terminals 1, 3, 5, and from terminals 2, 4, 6.
