and after 10 seconds the motion sensor will
activate. Forcefully shake or hit the lock with
the palm of your hand, and the alarm
should sound. Unlock the shackle using the

Note: Batteries will last 6-12 months on average.
Using the U-Lock
1.
Insert the key into the lock and unlock the U-lock.
2.
Guide the shackle around or through the items you wish to secure, and
through a fixed object such as a post or railing for maximum security.
(The key cannot be removed while the padlock is unlocked.)
3.
With the key in the lock, insert both ends of the shackle into the lock holes
until you hear a
beep
. The key should automatically turn to the locked
position. If not, turn the key to the locked position. The LED light will flash
a few times to indicate that it is now locked and armed. The LED will then
flash every 10 seconds.
4.
To activate the motion sensor, press the motion sensor button. You will
hear another
beep
. After 5 seconds, the motion sensor will
activate, so we recommend setting up the Decibel U-Lock
within this time. If the lock then detects any intense movement or
impact, the alarm will sound for approx. 30 seconds. It will then reset. To
silence the alarm, unlock the lock.
5.
To unlock the U-Lock, insert the key and turn it a ¼ turn to the right.
Remove the shackle from the lock holes.
W arning: All Decibel products contain a very loud siren as a theft
deterrent. If used at close range for prolonged periods of time, this
may cause ear damage or hearing loss. Do not hold close to ears,
and keep a way from small children.
