7.1

TROUBLESHOOTING

On the following pages the most common reasons are reported that may cause the unit to stop or to operate
incorrectly. The subdivision is made according to easily identifiable symptoms.

NR  FAILURE

POSSIBLE CAUSES

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS

The unit does not start

No power supply to the unit

Verify its presence in power terminals

The motor is blocked and impeller
is clogged

Turn off the unit. Solve the jam motor,
clean the propellers. Restart the unit

Insufficient air flow

It has been set a too low speed.

Choose a higher speed level

The  filter,  the  fan  or  the  heat
exchanger, is dirty

Clean or replace the filters, clean the
fan  and  the  heat  recovery  (see

“maintenance” chapter

).

The circuit breaker goes off

A short circuit has produced an
overload

Turn off the unit and contact a service
center

Vibrations and noise

The fan is dirty

Clean the fan

Vibrations and noise

The  screws  of  the  case  or  of  the
outer cap are loose

Tighten the screws of the unit and the
outer cap.

Deformation of the motor unit: the
fan blades touch the duct.

Slightly loosen the screws

7.2

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Disconnect the unit from power mains before any maintenance

A proper operation of the unit requires regular cleaning of filters or their replacement when needed. You should
also clean the fan impeller and ceramic exchanger from any dust that may accumulate over the time.
Follow these steps:
Press simultaneously on the hooks placed to the sides of the front panel and pull it gently toward you to remove
it.

Disconnect the terminal box using a screwdriver. Do not pull the wires to prevent damage to the unit.

Note: Put the front panel back in position only after the actuator has retracted completely at the bottom (wait at
least 5 mins).
