QUADCOPTER OPERATOR’S MANUAL
MAiNTENANCE
In general, the Apollo A1 quadcopter doesn’t require much in the way of maintenance or adjustments, however,
there may come a time when you need to replace the rotor blades, bind the transmitter to the receiver, calibrate the
transmitter control sticks and more. This section covers the more common maintenance items you might encounter.

2) Rotate the Camera Gimbal Control Dial to adjust the pitch of the camera gimbal. To adjust
the roll angle of the camera gimbal, spin the quadcopter left or right around its yaw axis
using the left control stick.

Although the quadcopter will fly okay if it’s out of balance (the gyros will compensate for this), for the best flight
performance, particularly when using the camera gimbal, we strongly suggest balancing the quadcopter before
flight by moving the LiPo battery forward or backward. This will improve flight
performance, increase flight times and increase motor and ESC life.
1) Using a C.G. Machine or one finger placed on either side of the quadcopter at
the C.G. location (essentially between the ‘E’ and ‘A’ in the IdeaFly logo on the
side of the quadcopter), lift the quadcopter up. If the nose of the quadcopter
drops when you lift it up at the C.G. location, move the LiPo battery back so
that the quadcopter stays level when you lift it up. If the tail of the quadcopter
drops when you lift it up at the C.G. location, move the LiPo battery forward so
that the quadcopter stays level when you lift it up.
If the camera gimbal is not level when the quadcopter is sitting on a flat level surface, or if when you rotate the
Camera Gimbal Control Dial, the camera gimbal binds, making the servos buzz, use the Autopilot Configuration
program to adjust the PTZ-ROLL-STAB and PTZ-PITCH-STAB values. For more information, see the Autopilot

orientate the flight controller and make all the electronic connections correctly.
