INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new chocolate
melting pot, please read through these
instructions carefully before using it for the
first time. We also recommend that you
keep the instructions for future reference,
so that you can remind yourself of the
functions of the device.
SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the chocolate melting
pot
•
Incorrect use of this melting pot may
cause personal injury and damage to
the machine.
•
Use the melting pot for its intended
purpose only. The manufacturer is not
responsible for any damage resulting
from incorrect use or handling (see also
Guarantee Terms).
•
The melting pot may only be connected
to 230 V, 50 Hz.
•
The chocolate melting pot or the cord
must not be placed in water or any
other liquid. Do not handle the melting
pot or the plug with wet hands.
•
Never leave the melting pot unattended
when in use and keep an eye on
children.
•
Avoid touching any of the metal parts of
the melting pot or the melted chocolate
while it is in use, as these will be very
hot.
•
Never heat up chocolate directly in the
basic unit; always use the actual
melting pot.
•
Always keep the basic unit and melting
pot clean, as they come into contact
with food.
•
This chocolate melting pot is not
suitable for commercial or outdoor use.
Positioning your electric chocolate
melting pot
•
The chocolate melting pot should be
positioned at the back of a kitchen
counter.
•
Always place it at a safe distance from
flammable objects such as curtains,
tablecloths or similar.
•
Do not cover the melting pot.
Cord, plug and mains socket
•
Do not allow the cord to hang over the
edge of the counter, and keep it away
from hot objects and naked flames.
•
Check regularly that the cord is not
damaged and do not use the melting
pot if it is, or if it has been dropped or
damaged in any other way.
•
If the melting pot, cord or plug is
damaged, it must be inspected and, if
necessary, repaired by an authorised
repair engineer, otherwise there is a risk
of electric shock. Never try to repair the
chocolate melting pot yourself.
•
Remove the plug from the socket when
cleaning, or when the melting pot is not
in use.
•
Avoid pulling the cord when removing
the plug from the socket. Instead, hold
the plug.
•
Make sure that it is not possible to pull
or trip over the melting pot cable or any
extension cord.
