INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE INSTALLING
Required: ACC-RR-SPDIF (sold separately).
Recommended: uHK1/uHK2 USB adapter (sold separately)
(uHK1/uHK2 is REQUIRED to retain illumination on the buttons
on the audio/climate control panel).
STEP 1
• Remove the factory radio.
• Unbox the aftermarket radio and locate its main harness.
• Connect the wires shown on the next page from
aftermarket radio main harness to the rHK3 T-harness and
match the wire functions.
Note: Isolate (tape) unused wires, if applicable.
STEP 2
Assemble the rHK3 T-harness as shown in wiring diagram:
• Plug the male RED 2 pin connector to female RED
connector.
• Plug the male BLUE 2 pin connector to female BLUE
connector.
• Plug the BLACK 2 pin connector (with the BROWN/YELLOW
and BROWN/RED twisted wires) into the mating BLACK 2
pin connector (coming off the WHITE 21 pin connector).
• Connect the SPDIF2 and SPDIF POWER connectors to the
ACC-RR-SPDIF. Connect the RCA cables supplied with it, to
the ACC-RR-SPDIF.
• Connect the GRAY 2 pin connector to the uHK1/uHK2 USB
adapter.
• Connect the Audio/Climate Control plug (WHITE 12 pin)
to the OEM Audio/Climate Control dash panel (that was
unplugged when removing OEM radio).
• Plug the vehicle side harnesses of the rHK3 T-Harness into
the harnesses in the vehicle.
• Connect the BLACK 6 pin connector coming off the WHITE
21 pin connector to the RR2.
STEP 3
• Connect all the harnesses from the rHK3 to the Maestro
RR2 module.
• Plug the Data Cable into the BLACK 4 pin port of the RR2.
STEP 4
• Plug the aftermarket radio harnesses into the aftermarket
radio.
• Plug the backup camera RCA into the aftermarket radio’s
backup camera input (if applicable).
• Plug the Data cable to the data port of the aftermarket
radio.
• Connect the RCA cables (from the ACC-RR-SPDIF) in the
front RCA outputs of the radio.
• If the vehicle has Rear Seat Entertainment, plug the RSE/
AUX cable into the AUX In on the aftermarket radio. If the
vehicle has no RSE, isolate (tape) the 3.5mm jack and
secure it out of the way.
Note: On Pioneer radio, ensure that there is nothing
plugged into the W/R port.
Test your installation:
Steering wheel controls, vehicle information, backup
camera, etc.
Finish installing radio into the dash, and enjoy!
